Dr. LaCava graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Massachusetts with a B.S. in Biology.  He then went on to graduate from Northwestern University Medical School.  He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University.  After his internship Dr. LaCava completed his residency at the Medical College of Ohio.  He then practiced as an OB/GYN for 26 years in private practice.  However his true passion has always been in Alternative medicine and following his long career in the traditional medical field, Dr. LaCava chose to pursue his dream and the AWC was born.  Dr. LaCava continues to expand his expertise by regularly attending the nations top medical conferences and to date his extensive credentials include the following:

Margot LaCava is a Cum Laude graduate of Stetson University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology.  Upon graduation she began a career in Management and Real Estate in Florida. After helping Dr. LaCava design and write the business plan for Advanced Wellness Center and Research Foundation, she made the decision to join the team full time as Office Manager/Business Partner.  In addition to studying many years of Biology and Chemistry, Margot is also in the process of testing for and applying to medical school.  Look for her in years to come as the next Dr. LaCava under the auspices of the Advanced Wellness Center.

Suzanne LaCava is AWC's Registered Nurse. She has been in nursing for over thirty years working primarily as a trauma specialist in the Emergency Room. With a long standing interest in integrative and environmental medicine, Suzanne began working in the area of environmental medicine four years ago and has developed a particular expertise in allergy testing, intravenous therapies and nurtitional counseling. She is a member of the American Association of Emergency Room Nurses and an associate member of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine. Suzanne is a graduate of The James Ward Thorne School of Nursing of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is currently a Masters Degree Candidate at Capital University of Integrative Medicine. She received her Trauma Nurse Specialist Diploma from the State of Illinois, and most recently renewed her Trauma Nurse Core Course certification in Savannah, Ga. She is certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Disaster Life Support and CPR.

Michael Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lee Universty in August of 2006 with a B.A. in History and a Minor in Political Science. He has worked extensively with AWC since its inception and has been a integral part of its team, helping to develop AWC's marketing program and website. Michael serves as AWC's scheduling and lab coordinator and will always welcome you to our practice with a handshake and a warm, friendly smile.
