Integrative Medical Associates is the realization of a lifelong dream. Over the course of his 30 years practicing traditional medicine, Dr. LaCava realized its inherent limitations. He found that traditional medicine repeatedly fell short in helping patients achieve optimum health. Tired of managing chronic symptoms with therapies that barely addressed his patients' illnesses, Dr. LaCava began introducing alternative therapies, experiencing success where traditional medicine had failed. These successes encouraged Dr. LaCava to further explore and employ alternative treatments. Convinced of their value and effectiveness, he founded IMA (then Advanced Wellness Center) in 2005, seeing his first patients that August. His vision for IMA is to continue to partner with patients in adopting positive lifestyle changes and to employ alternative therapies such as chelation, nutritional management, desensitization and various IV therapies in an effort to help each patient achieve ideal health.
